What: Forest clean-up event to celebrate Earth Day
Where: C.T. Beach Picnic Area, Middle Fork Ranger District
When: Saturday, April 18
11am-2pm
Description: Come celebrate Earth Day in the Willamette National Forest with Cascade Volunteers! This clean-up event is open to the public, participants will be collecting and removing non-hazardous litter materials from the Forest. Volunteers will meet at the C.T. Beach Picnic Area on Hills Creek Reservoir, then disperse to pick up litter in the surrounding areas.
Tools, trash bags and PPE will be provided. Please bring water, work gloves, snacks, boots with ankle support, and wear weather-appropriate attire.
Families are welcome and encouraged to attend but minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or register in advance. For more information on how to pre-register a minor please call 541-782-2283. For adults 18+ pre-registration is recommended but not required.
Event Schedule:
10:45 AM volunteer check-in begins
11:15 safety talk
11:30 start clean-up
1:45 regroup and transport litter to the transfer station
Location: C.T. Beach Picnic Area
From Oakridge, OR travel east on OR-58
Turn right on Kitson Springs Rd.
Travel 3.7 miles and the C.T. Beach Picnic Area will be on the right. Park in the main parking area, please do not block the boat ramp.
