Programmatic - Friday Fun Activity Assistant

Brief Summary of Activity: Help local students after a hard week of academic success at the Library by assisting with a relaxing and fun activity.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Children who are over-stimulated after a full week of school may benefit from this program, which includes a musically calm drum circle at the beginning and ending of the Friday Fun craft program.
Help parents to create a calming activity for children who may benefit from a low-key activity at the end of the week.
Typical Day or Task: Sign in, pick up your volunteer lanyard, and set-up/clean-up in the Community Room at the Friday Fun Leader's direction.
You will prepare the room and supplies prior to the program and provide a sample craft for the kids.
Provide assistance to children or Leader during the program.
Help to clean up the room by wiping down tables and putting away craft supplies back into the Craft Cabinets.
You will set up the room for the program and reset the room back to its original configuration.
Benefits: Children will be able to gain ideas from your craft sample, aiding them to create their own masterpieces!
In addition, you will have the chance to help the Library Community and Friday Fun Leader in providing an end-of-the-week activity that will serenely end the children's busy week.
Commitment or Schedule: Please be willing to commit to at least six months of volunteership.
