Trading Company Warehouse Volunteer (Min age 18)
Aim or goal of position: To support the Deputy Commerce Manager (New Goods) who has responsibility for new goods, Christmas cards and the production of the annual Highland Hospice calendar. The Trading Company operates to generate income used to offer valuable services to patients and clients.
Main responsibilities & suggested activities:
- Fulfilling Christmas Card Orders – postal/ on-line/ retail units/ 3rd parties/ events and 2 cafes
- Dealing with new goods stock requests from our 15 charity shops through Cybertill
- Preparing new goods re-orders with manufacturers.
- Stock Control (including prep for annual stock take)
Skills / attributes and/or qualification(s) required:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Accuracy and reliability are essential
- Typing and computing skills (Word and Excel) are essential
- Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised are essential
- A level of commitment to work on a regular basis is essential
- Ability to work well in a team is desirable
- Good communication skills are desirable

When: Throughout the year 2 -3 hours a week(flexible) to be agreed with Role Supervisor.
The warehouse is open 7 days a week
Training:
• Moving and Handling Inanimate Objects – approx. 30 mins
• Cyber Security and GDPR – approx. 30 minutes
- Fire Safety Awareness for Volunteers – approx. 30minutes
- Induction training systems to be used (Cybertill)
Length of commitment sought: Open ended
