Van Driving - driving licence essential

VAN DRIVER – FEEL LIKE SANTA ALL YEAR ROUND

Many of our donated goods can’t be sold to the public until they are transported to our shops around the Highlands.  Driving our van alongside another volunteer, allows these goods to be distributed for sale across our 12 shops.  Delivery days feel like Christmas to the shop staff and volunteers!

You only need to give at least one day a month to do this role.  Income from the goods you transport will help to support people in our care.

If you want to feel just like a Santa Claus all year round, then we’d love to hear from you.  You need to have a full, clean driving licence and you will receive on-the-job training including a short session with a qualified driving instructor. As volunteers in this role always work in pairs this is an ideal opportunity for 2 friends to volunteer together.

The van operates on a rota basis, Mon - Fri.  The van starts off in Inverness (anytime between 7am and 8.30am) and usually returns by 3pm at the latest (depending on traffic and the journey being made that day).

Due to our Insurance, drivers must be 21+ and have held a full driving licence for at least 2 years.
