Thank you for your interest in volunteering at LCAC! Our organization relies heavily on our team of trained volunteers. Without their hard work, dedication, and commitment to our mission, we would not be able to offer many of the lifesaving programs currently in place nor continue to be a no-kill City.

There are so many ways to help us save lives every day at League City Animal Care – ranging from folding laundry, adoption assistants, organizing storage, preparing for events and more!

Please take a moment to review our Guidelines and then submit your application to join our team! We can’t wait to see you around the shelter!

Essential Shelter Help Volunteer Roles

Adoptions

Volunteers can assist at our Adoption Center’s front desk by answering questions and phone calls, assisting adopters with introductions and counseling, adoption follow-ups, accepting donations, and assisting with light clerical work!

Essential Shelter Help

We can always use a helping hand with *something* around the shelter! This role is great for those who like to help wherever the need is most! Do your friends call you a “jack of all trades”? Do you have a knack for organizing? Do you enjoy solo projects? Become an Essential Help volunteer! Duties range from sorting donations, bathing puppies, organizing storage, folding laundry, preparing for events, and more!

Pet Photography & Marketing

Calling all shutter-bugs! A pet’s photo on our website, online search, or our social media accounts is often what draws an adopter or donor to seek us out! Help us showcase our animals and our shelter in it’s best light by becoming a photography volunteer!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide humane education to the public, promote responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of all animals, dedicate compassionate care to animals and find homes for homeless animals while working to support public safety through the enforcement of city ordinances and state laws pertaining to animals and the welfare of the citizens of League City.
