Nature: practical activities - Wildflower seed sowing (Tees-Swale)
Join us for a session of sorting and sowing wildflower seeds. We will be sowing seeds from important species such as devil’s-bit scabious that have been collected from existing populations in Teesdale. Once grown these plants will be used to enhance upland hay meadows in Teesdale. All training and equipment will be provided.
We have several seed sowing opportunities planned for autumn:
02 October (Mickleton Village hall)
15 October (Mickleton Village hall)
31 October (Cotherstone Villlage hall)
13 November (St Thomas Church Hall, Stanhope)
Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch. All ages are welcome, children must be supervised by adult. Please contact Will: william@northpennines.org.uk for more information.
