Nature: practical activities - Looking after wildflower plug plants (Tees-Swale)

We are looking for volunteers to help us with looking after wildflower plug plants. As part of the Tees-Swale: naturally connected programme we are collecting seeds of local provenance wildflowers and growing these on to be planted back out into meadows across Teesdale.

In order to increase out capacity to grow plants we are looking for volunteers to look after pots/trays of wildflowers until they are ready to be planted.

Plants can be kept outside don’t require a lot of upkeep apart from watering during dry spells.

Once people have signed up they will be contacted by William Bowman from the North Pennines National Landscape team with more information on what is needed.
