Donation Closet Volunteer

Catholic Charities is cognizant of the needs of the people we serve in and around D.C. As such, we offer our clients the chance to look through our donated goods for their personal use every Wednesday evening during our St. Maria’s Meals program.

The Donation Closet Volunteer will oversee the operation of the donation closet each week and help clients find items they need.

Volunteer will be responsible for:

  • Keeping the closet organized
  • Helping clients look through donated goods
  • Providing excellent customer service

  • Volunteers must be at least 16 years old

Volunteer Benefits:

  • Volunteer will have the opportunity to interact with members of the community and provide them with a needed service
  • Volunteer will deepen organizational and customer service skills


  • Volunteer will be supervised by St. Maria’s Meals program manager Tom Roddy

Time Commitment:

  • Volunteer will be needed every Wednesday from 4:45pm-6:15pm

  • Metro accessible. Take the blue/orange/silver to Metro Center or the red/green/yellow to Gallery Place-Chinatown
  • Pay-to-park parking garage is located on G Street and 9th Street NW, limited street parking available in area.
