Adolescent Mental Health Support Unit 23 & 26

Within this program volunteers are meant to facilitate a welcoming and fun environment for the children and teens within the units. Volunteer responsibilities will be setting up materials for the activity, helping facilitate the group, engaging with the kids, participating in the activities. The activities will include bingo, cooking groups, board games, etc. for the patients.

Seeking volunteers with good communication skills and an outgoing personality. Volunteers with a background in social work, counselling, or psychology is preferred. 

Volunteers will be required to do an online orientation and Patient Experience training.

Volunteers must be able to commit to a regular weekly shift of 3-4 hours for a minimum of one year. 

Shifts are Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
