Leduc Boat Club Instructors

Leduc Boat Club is recruiting Outreach Instructors for the 2026 season.

Location: Leduc Boat Club on Telford Lake

 

Position: Outreach Instructor

Time Commitment: Mainly during school hours, various days of week, few weekends. Shifts up to 3 hours.

Required Qualifications: Current First Aid Certificate, Safe Sport on-line Training (Free)

Sport specific training (not all required): Canoe Kids (Canoe and Kayak) or Paddle Canada Instructor status in canoe or SUP, Dragon Boat Canada Instructor, Learn to Row Instructor, Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card. Leduc Boat Club can provide training for the sports that may interest you.

Mission/Vision: Establish, develop, and operate an inclusive arts collective known as the Leduc Arts Foundry, serving as a vibrant center for artistic collaboration and creativity.

Location: Remote: 4330 Black Gold Drive (Leduc Recreation Centre)

 

Board Position: Operations Director

Key member of the Executive Committee

  • Assess the cost efficiency of business operations by evaluating resource allocation, workforce utilization, and operational processes.
  • Provide feedback and monitor day to day operations to optimize productivity, reduce unnecessary costs, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
  • Works in conjunction with all Board Members for effectiveness and proper direction.
  • Reviews ArtWorks Boutique for efficiency and maximum profitability.
  • Term: 2-3 year term. ASAP

Board Position: Finance Director

Key member of the Executive Committee

  • Responsibilities include overseeing budgeting, reporting, auditing, investment, and insurance functions.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit financial management, strategic planning, and team leadership.
  • The position will guide our organization towards sustainability and success while also adhering to all legal regulations and requirements.
  • This is different to the Accounts Payable Volunteer position who receives, reconciles and prepares payments while maintaining financial documents, preparing statements and budgets.
  • Term: 2-3 year term. ASAP

Warehouse volunteer: must be able to lift 30lbs, intermediate level of English, over the age of 16, work with minimal supervision, ability to stand for long periods
Donations Sorter: must be able to lift 15lbs, intermediate level of English, over the age of 16, work with minimal supervision, ability to stand for long periods
Work experience:  Must be referred by a community agency or educational institution – Catholic Social Services etc.

Community Service Program: We do not accept individuals who are charged with assault, theft, fraud, or weapons charges.
Youth Volunteer: over the age of 16, self-motivated and can work independently
