Floor Curling Volunteer
Reporting to the Adult & Senior Resource Coordinator, the Floor Curling Volunteers will assist in the running of the program. This is a 12-week sessional program and runs Tuesday Mornings from October-December and January to March.
Floor Curling is a popular low impact activity for senior participants, this volunteer role will appeal to someone who enjoys helping people with different abilities as some of the participants have hearing or mobility issues.
Responsibilities |
- Pick up the Floor Curling Supplies box from Admin Office
- Set up the sheets with numbers and score sheets
- Greet the participants and check off who has arrived on the attendance sheet
- Socialize with participants and promote the program in the community whenever possible
- Talk with participants and if they are short a player, offer to spare or if the two teams on one sheet are short, then suggest they just remove two rocks per team
