Chapter Information

Medway Neighbor Brigade

Welcome to the Medway chapter of Neighbor Brigade! Our chapter was formed in March 2010. Whether you are seeking assistance or looking to provide help to another, you’ve come to the right place. Our volunteer chapter leaders donate time to coordinate the needs of families in crisis with the volunteers who want to help. Read on to learn more about their passion for Neighbor Brigade, and help us spread the word! We are always looking to expand our presence here in Medway among volunteers and potential recipients alike.

Neighbor Brigade establishes community-specific networks of volunteers that can be mobilized to help residents facing sudden crisis manage day-to-day tasks such as meal preparation, rides, and basic household chores. Our chapter is just one of 29 chapters helping their neighbors in crisis! To learn more about us and our other chapters, please visit our home page here

Chapter Leaders

Nikki Mavrikos

Nikki is co-leader of the Medway Neighbor Brigade. In 2006 she brought the Medway Angels to town as one of the first Angel communities, later to be known as Neighbor Brigade. Her inspiration to do so came from the ‘Neighbor Helping Neighbor’ mission of friend Pam Washek, founder of Wayland Angels and Neighbor Brigade. Nikki and her husband have lived in Medway many years. Medway is where they raised their three sons and a place that will always be home. It is an honor to be associated with the many wonderful volunteers of Medway Neighbor Brigade.

Kari has lived in Medway for the past 15 years with her husband and three daughters. She received her B.S. in Neuro Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and received her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Lesley College. She worked as an elementary teacher in Needham for a number of years and most recently taught preschool at Meeting House School. She started the Friends of Choate Park here in Medway nine years ago to revitalize this beautiful historic park in town. She is excited to help lead the Medway chapter of Neighbor Brigade as it is a cause that is close to her heart.
