Young Carers Summer Camp
The Cahoots Carers WA Summer Camp is a partnership camp with Carers WA, for participants aged 9-12 years of age. All participants on this camp are young carers of people with disabilities (such as having a sibling or parent with disability). The purpose of this camp is for the participants to relax, have fun, and make friends with others who are going through a similar situation.
How it works:
The Cahoots Young Carers Camp is designed for kids who are young carers. This camp is for them to have respite and to meet others within a similar situation.
This camp starts 8:00am Tuesday and finishes 4pm Thursday. Food, water, transport, accommodation and and access to all activities will be provided for the participants and volunteers.
Activities include:
- All types of sports (swimming, basketball, dancing, trampolines etc)
- Social Activities
- Outback Splash (all leaders MUST be able to swim for this camp)
Camp leader Job Description:
The camp leader has a duty of care for participants for the duration of the School Holiday Camp. Participants on this camp do not have challenging behaviours or require support.
