Induction & Training - Face to Face Volunteer Induction
Cahoots Induction:
The Cahoots induction is the final step in completing the Cahoots’ volunteer set-up phase (woo-hoo!). This activity requires you to attend a talk session led by one of our volunteer coordinators.
You will learn valuable tips and information to prepare you for your volunteering journey with us. Our induction sessions are interactive – this allows you to ask any questions you might have in person (or online). This is a great opportunity to mingle with other like-minded volunteers and sign up for activities.
How it works:
The Cahoots induction session is compulsory and must be completed before volunteering on our camps and programs. This session is held once a week in our office which is situated in Bayswater. If Bayswater is inaccessible this induction session can also be held online via teams.
Please have all the training modules completed before attending the induction session. The content within the online modules will be covered within the induction.
What will be covered:
- Cahoots culture and team structure
- Tips and tricks on being an awesome leader
- The do’s (and don’ts) of being a Cahoots leader
- Duty of care
- Safeguarding
- Restrictive practice
- High support
- Progress note writing
