Friendly Visiting Volunteers
Provide friendly visits to older adults at risk of social isolation and participate in activities that are of interest to the client(s).
Visits may take place either in the client’s home or at a nearby public location.
- Time Commitment: Flexible -1 hour per week, minimum 6 months
- Requirements: Vulnerable sector check, minimum 18 years of age
- Location: Flexible – throughout York Region, South Simcoe and GTA.
- Level of Client Interaction: High, direct contact
Visits take place Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm for approximately 1 hour.
