Game Masters Needed! Play Games and Socialize with Kids During Lunch and Recess

Do you love playing games and sports with kids? Then this is the role for you!
AAPS Elementary Schools are looking for fun-loving college students who can visit school during the lunch/recess period and play games with kids. Whether you like sports, card games, or just being social, we'd love to have you stop by.
Tasks May Include:
- Relationship Building: Building relationships with students is the most important part of your role!
- Playing Games at Recess: Engaging students in structured games during recess. This could be sports, Simon says or something else.
- Working with Students to Practice Skills: Engaging students in social games and activities that help them build skills.
- Playing Games and Supporting Student Activities: Have fun with students through playing games and engaging in activities with students during lunch and recess.
- Encouragement & Motivation: Offer positive reinforcement and support.
- Social Engagement and Peer Interaction Support: Help facilitate positive student interactions.
Required:
- Interest and/or experience volunteering with children.
- Ability to model positive social behavior to the students.
- Availability sometimes during the lunch/recess period from approximately 11:00 am-1:15 pm at least 2 times a month.
Ideal for volunteers who…
- Have been a camp counselor, coach or served in another role where they spent time engaging children in games.
- Enjoy socializing and mentoring students.
