Bilingual Support Volunteer
Overview
Bilingual Student Support Volunteers provide a positive adult role model to AAPS English Language Learner (ELL) students.
Students being supported need additional assistance with school work and/or an additional adult who speaks the student’s native language. Tasks can include help with assignments, literacy support, social engagement, math support, assistance during recess, lunchtime, and more. You may also be assigned to support a newcomer to our country.
Required:
- Must be fluent in a language other than English that matches the language of the student(s) you are working with.

Interest and/or experience volunteering with children.

Able to commit to volunteering at least 1 day a week for at least 3 months during the AAPS school day (9 am - 4 pm)

If interested in working with MS or HS students, is proficient in an academic subject, including but not limited to English, math, science, social studies, and/or writing.
