After School Club Program Volunteer
Role
To assist staff in the delivery of the After School Club Program.
Time Commitment
- Must commit to the program for at least 1 day a week (ideally for 8-weeks or more)
- Each shift is 2 hours
Responsibilities
- Follow all policies and procedures
- Assist staff with the delivery of lesson plans and additional support to the program
- Assist with providing a safe and well-supervised learning environment
- Assist with set up and tear down of required equipment
- Assist with preparing and serving snacks
- Assist with the provision of a welcoming and positive atmosphere for children to actively
participate, excel and make friends - Interact with participants
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be 14 years of age or older
- Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening for 18+)
- Must meet requirements of the Town of Milton volunteer program
- Prior experience with children, an asset
- Standard First aid and CPR an asset
- HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development, an asset
- Leader in Training Program, an asset
- Punctual, consistent, reliable
- Friendly, outgoing
