After School Club Program Volunteer

Role

To assist staff in the delivery of the After School Club Program.

 

Time Commitment

  • Must commit to the program for at least 1 day a week (ideally for 8-weeks or more)
  • Each shift is 2 hours

 

Responsibilities

  • Follow all policies and procedures
  • Assist staff with the delivery of lesson plans and additional support to the program
  • Assist with providing a safe and well-supervised learning environment
  • Assist with set up and tear down of required equipment
  • Assist with preparing and serving snacks
  • Assist with the provision of a welcoming and positive atmosphere for children to actively   
      participate, excel and make friends
  • Interact with participants

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must be 14 years of age or older
  • Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening for 18+)
  • Must meet requirements of the Town of Milton volunteer program
  • Prior experience with children, an asset
  • Standard First aid and CPR an asset
  • HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development, an asset
  • Leader in Training Program, an asset
  • Punctual, consistent, reliable
  • Friendly, outgoing
