Arts Program Volunteer

Role

To provide assistance to program instructors in the delivery of programs.

 

Time Commitment

  • Must commit to the program session duration (1 day, or 4-12 weeks, varies by program)
  • Various Hours

 

Responsibilities

  • Follow all policies and procedures
  • Assist with material preparation
  • Assist with set up and tear down of required equipment
  • Assist program instructor with activities as needed: handing out supplies, filling out supply inventory sheets, taking attendance, ensuring spaces are kept clean and answering questions.
  • Maintain and clean art materials
  • Unpack and shelve supplies in stock room

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must be 15 years of age or older
  • Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening for 18+)
  • Must meet requirements of the Town of Milton volunteer program
  • Prior experience with children, an asset
  • Standard First Aid and CPR an asset
  • HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development, an asset
  • Leader in Training Program, an asset
  • Punctual, consistent and reliable
  • Friendly and enthusiastic
