Volunteers in this role work alongside staff to conduct visual inspections and educate the public on preventing the spread of invasive species. Volunteers will need to review a pre-recorded virtual training on their own before their first shift.

Shifts lengths are flexible, but are typically 2-6 hours in length between the hours of 8:00am-2:00pm, and are available on select Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at Lakefront Park in Hudson, WI. Please note: shifts for volunteers under 18 years of age who are not volunteering with a parent present are limited to the following dates:

  • Thursday, June 25th
  • Thursday, July 2nd
  • Thursday, July 16th
  • Monday, August 3rd

Volunteer one time, or throughout the summer! This opportunity is great for pairs. Please reach out to Maria at myoung@wildriversconservancy.org with any questions.

Please note: shift times are set to 8:00am-2:00pm by default - please email watercraft@wildriversconservancy.org with the timeframe you are available if not for the full shift.
