Middle School Book Club Facilitator

Middle School book club facilitators hold monthly lunchtime or after-school meetings where they engage with students and hold thought-provoking discussions about books. Students have a total of 7-8 works of fiction and non-fiction to read and discuss. The program helps young people develop a love of reading and form bonds with their peers, as well as caring adults.

All Middle School Book Club facilitators coordinate with Project Cornerstone to insure accurate monthly reporting and attend scheduled trainings to prepare and share ideas for Book Club meetings.

Time: September to May

Requirements: Project Cornerstone volunteer application, school district requirements, Take It Personally or Middle School Book Club Assets 101 training, Project Cornerstone scheduled trainings.
