Barrie Dragon Boat Festival - Saturday August 15, 2026 - Site Crew

Our Site Crew Volunteers help implement the logistics of the site. The event requires a large amount of effort to arrange and set up equipment before we open. Tasks could be physically demanding and will require teamwork.
Responsibilities of the Site Crew Volunteers:
- Set-up and/or tear-down of fencing and other items. Fencing panels weigh 35 pounds. 2 volunteers will work together to carry panels
- Set-up tables/chairs, move tables/chairs
- Set-up and or take down tents
- Set-up and or take down of scaffolding
- Clean, hang up and take down signage
- Deliver resources to different festival areas
- Take inventory of paddles, life jackets, tools, etc.
The MUSTS:
- A minimum of 14 years of age
- Volunteers should be comfortable being physically active for the entire day
- Working with the public; strong interpersonal skills
- Volunteers must sign-in at the Volunteer Administration Tent a minimum of 15 minutes before the shift begins
A volunteer t-shirt and lunch are provided.
*Those who have not volunteered at the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival in the past must attend a mandatory IN-PERSON volunteer orientation on Wednesday July 15, 2026 from 6:30pm-7:30pm.*

- Barrie Dragon Boat Festival - BARRIE DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL - Current Year Waiver Must be Completed
- Barrie Dragon Boat Festival - BARRIE DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL - Volunteer Orientation Must be Complete
