Santa Claus Parade Volunteer (Parade Marshal)

Volunteer Parade Marshals

Parade Marshals monitor the road along their sections of the route, react to any possible hazards or obstructions that could affect the flow of the parade or cause safety concerns by communicating this with City of Mississauga staff who are within their designated section. They ensure that spectators do not crowd the road and keep a safe distance from floats and moving vehicles. Youth volunteers will be partnered with an adult volunteer where possible.

Event Time: 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Volunteer Shifts: Approximately 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (subject to change based on need)

Eligibility

• The parade is a walking parade, and skating skills are not required.
• The key responsibilities, requirements, and working conditions are described in the Position Description.
• The volunteer must have reached the age of 16 years by October 15.
