Pet Therapy
Please note: Volunteers require specialized training from the Pet Therapy Society of Northern Alberta or St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog program to qualify for these positions.
General Description:
The Pet Therapy Program is designed to meet the social needs of patients by providing an opportunity for volunteers to visit with their pets. The pets act as ice-breakers to conversations, and friendships are encouraged between volunteers and patients.
