Volunteer Responsibilities:
As an integral part of the Admitting team, volunteers will:
- Greet patients and visitors as they arrive.
- Assist visitors with the parking meter located in the lobby.
- Ask patients and visitors to stand behind the red line in front of the Information Desk to provide patient confidentiality.
- Ask all patients and visitors if they require assistance to find the area they are visiting. However, portering will take any patients needing wheelchair assistance to their medical area.
- Visit with patients in waiting area.
- Ensure masks are stocked and available for all patients/visitors/staff/volunteers
- Escort patients to units on the ground floor such as Endoscopy, Emergency, the Chapel.
