Welfare Services - Telephone Friendship Group facilitator - Remote role

The Fund partners with Age UK to provide group befriending services over the phone to socially isolated members of the RAF Family. These weekly phone calls are an opportunity for people to increase their social connections with people with whom they have common interests - and they have a huge impact on wellbeing!

The role of the volunteer facilitator is to develop, encourage, and if necessary guide the conversation, ensuring all people have the opportunity to participate and that the call is kept safe and enjoyable for all.

Volunteers in this role are asked to make a long term weekly commitment to calling their group at a designated day of the week and time. Click here to download the full role description.

If you are interested in volunteering in this way, we will put you in touch with our partners at Age UK to take your volunteering forwards.
