About the Role
Are you passionate about creating a welcoming and engaging space for men to connect and socialise? Become a Men’s Club Facilitator Volunteer at Jewish Care Victoria and help bring camaraderie, conversation, and enjoyment to our male residents.
As a Men’s Club Facilitator, you will play a key role in leading group activities and discussions tailored to the interests of our male residents. Whether it’s talking about sports, history, hobbies, or current affairs, your role will help foster friendships and meaningful interactions in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating group discussions and activities based on residents' interests.
- Encouraging social connection and engagement among male residents.
- Organising and assisting with activities such as games, sports discussions, trivia, or storytelling.
- Creating a friendly and inclusive space where men feel comfortable sharing experiences.
- Following safety guidelines and reporting any concerns to staff.
Working Hours
Flexible scheduling based on your availability, typically once a week or fortnightly.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- A friendly and engaging personality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for volunteering with elderly residents and fostering social connections.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to encourage participation.
