Administration and Operations - Grounds Keeper

We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Grounds Keeper to assist with the upkeep and beautification of our outdoor spaces. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and attractive landscapes. As a Volunteer Grounds Keeper, you will help ensure that our grounds remain welcoming and well-maintained for the community, staff, and visitors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees by planting, watering, pruning, and weeding.
  • Keep walkways, driveways, and outdoor seating areas clean and free of debris.
  • Collect and dispose of litter and yard waste appropriately.
  • Assist in minor landscaping projects, such as mulching or planting seasonal flowers.
  • Monitor and report any hazards or maintenance needs on the property.
  • Operate basic landscaping tools and equipment safely.
  • Follow all safety guidelines while performing tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping and gardening techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to use hand tools and light power equipment safely.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or with a team.
