Administration and Operations - Building Maintenance Assistant
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Volunteer Building Maintenance Assistant to help with the upkeep and maintenance of our facility. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in maintaining safe, clean, and functional spaces. As a Volunteer Building Maintenance Assistant, you will assist with general maintenance tasks, repairs, and facility improvements to ensure a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical work).
- Perform basic cleaning, organizing, and upkeep of facilities.
- Help with setting up and breaking down rooms for events and activities.
- Inspect and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
- Support in maintaining landscaping and outdoor spaces as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while performing tasks.
- Assist with inventory and organization of maintenance tools and supplies.
- Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to keep the facility in excellent condition.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repair tasks.
- Experience with tools and equipment related to building maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and perform manual tasks.
- Willingness to learn and adhere to safety protocols.
