Position Overview

The Toy Land Distribution is an annual event that aims to bring joy to children and families in need by distributing Christmas gifts. Volunteers play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment, organizing and distributing toys, and helping families experience a memorable and joyous season.

As a Toy Land Helper, you may be asked to assist with set up, organize toys, guide families through the selection process, and ensure that each child receives a special Christmas gift.

Responsibilities

• Set Up and Organization:

  • Help unload, sort, and organize toys based on age group and category
  • Ensure toys and gifts are properly displayed and accessible.

• Family Assistance:

  • Greet families as they arrive.
  • Assist parents or guardians in choosing age-appropriate toys for their children.
  • Manage crowd flow and answer questions, providing a positive and supportive experience.

• Distribution and Inventory Control:

  • Track toy distribution and help restock areas as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized inventory throughout the day

• Breakdown and Clean-Up:

  • Assist with packing up remaining toys, organizing leftover inventory, and ensuring the space is cleaned and returned to its original state.

Qualifications

• Friendly, welcoming, and patient with children and families.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to lift and carry light boxes (up to 20 lbs).
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Best suited for volunteers 18 +
