Winter Night Watch - Jump-Southern Route
Jumps are needed to assist the driver of The Salvation Army mobile canteen (TSA truck) on a route that will distribute food to our neighbors in need.
As a Jump, you will meet at the EDS building at 10629 Burt Cir. Omaha, NE and be a passenger of the canteen, making stops along a predetermined route. Like the Driver position, you will need to be fully vetted as a standard volunteer. This includes a background check, references, and online training called Safe From Harm.
The Jump supports the Driver and two Servers. Once at a meal distribution location, the Jump and Driver will stand by the canteen and assist with crowd engagement and organization. The Jump will also hand out items such as coats and scarves.
All volunteers will help with the preparation of the canteen prior to leaving and help with any clean-up needed upon returning to the EDS building.
All volunteers signed up for Winter Night Watch will receive a reminder email the week prior to their shift with additional information.
