Housing Rights Admin Volunteer
Would you like to be part of our Fight for Home and support our North Team based in Aberdeen. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team.

Information about the role
Admin Volunteer, location: North (Aberdeen Office)
Suggested contribution: One day per week (can be flexible around your commitments).
Availability: Volunteering will take place at a time that suits you, within Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm
Main activities may include:
- Supporting staff with triage for clients
- Assisting staff with recording and input of basic case information
- Helping with administrative tasks to support the wider team
- Supporting staff at outreach and housing-related events when required
- Support staff with meeting agendas and minute taking
- Where possible, attend team meeting.

Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who enjoys communicating with people and being part of a team. We welcome familiarity with Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Teams and Excel. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is friendly, caring and motivated by a desire to help address the housing emergency.
Supporting you
- You will be provided with an induction into your role, access to relevant learning and a copy of our volunteer handbook.
- The role, including learning and communications, are flexible, so can be tailored so they best suit your needs and preferences.
- You will be able to claim reasonable volunteering expenses in line with Shelter Scotland to volunteering, we may be able to offer these funds in advance.
- You will be able to access our volunteer support package, including our colleague assistance programme and Shelter Scotland’s network of mental health first aiders.
