Government Relations and Advocacy

Our role in the government relations committee is to advocate for proposed solutions that will improve the quality of life for those living with MS. The Government Relations committee serves to advocate for people living with MS to elected officials, policy and decision makers and other government stakeholders in Newfoundland and Labrador by:

  • monitoring and identifying needs, barriers, issues and opportunities to enhance quality of life for people living with multiple sclerosis,
  • engaging other community members to take action,
  • offering advice and recommendations on strategies and initiatives, and/or
  • contributing to the advocacy of people living with MS by occasionally liaising and meeting with stakeholders.

Our main project for 2019 is focused on the upcoming federal election.
