Join us in delivering essential groceries to our residents in housing and shelters!
Volunteers will start their journey at The Lily (953 Balmoral Ave), where they'll pick up our van. From there, we'll head to the Mustard Seed (B-808 Viewfield Drive) to pick up the groceries. Our deliveries will bring much needed food to Swift House (467 Swift St), Johnson Manor (1153 Johnson St), and back to The Lily.
While timing is flexible, we aim for volunteers to arrive at the Mustard Seed between 11 am -12 pm on Thursdays. The entire route typically takes around 90 minutes. You'll receive training from our Food Services Manager, Paul, who will have you join him for a ride along.
Please note that this role involves lifting lots of grocery bags and boxes. Volunteers will need to provide a copy of their valid drivers license and drivers abstract.
