House Ambassador - Austen & Turner: A Country House Exhibition

Looking for something different and meaningful to do? Or perhaps you are studying or have a passion for Art or English Literature and are looking to develop transferrable employability skills? Either way, we can offer you the opportunity to volunteer as a House Ambassador.

Between 2 May and 19 Oct we will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of the birth of the novelist Jane Austen (1775-1817) and the landscape painter JMW Turner (1775- 1851). In a ground breaking new exhibition Austen and Turner : A Country House Encounter we bring together the work of author and artist for the first time, uncovering their shared interest in the social and cultural life of the British country house and its landscape.
