Be aged 18 years or older;
-
Be able to commit to at least one 3-4 hour shift weekly or fortnightly for a minimum of 6 months (except for Consumer Advisor positions);

Have strong oral and written English communication skills;

Be able to provide evidence of their ability to work in Australia (i.e. Australian or NZ passport or an Australian birth or citizenship certificate, or an appropriate visa or work permit allowing the applicant to work in Australia); and
-
Be able and/or willing to meet the vaccination requirements applicable to the volunteer role of interest.

Provide a Working with Children Check (WCC.) If you don't already have this, you can apply for this online here
or at an RMS or Service NSW Centre. Obtaining a WCC Check is free for volunteers.

Meet & Greet

Meet & Greet volunteers provide a warm and friendly welcome to hospital visitors and guide patients and visitors as they navigate the hospital and our Ambulatory Care Centre |
Patient Support

| Our Patient Support team provide support to our patients through our various companionship, patient feeding and peer support programs across various wards and clinical areas. |
Research

Research volunteers provide support to the Research Unit in our Emergency Department, such as assisting with recruiting patients to studies and data entry. |
Retail

Retail volunteers provide customer service in our two volunteer run shops, the Pink Ladies shop and The Corner Shop, and also the Pink Ladies ward trolley service, which raise vital funds for the hospital and its patients. |
