Join Furry Friends Humane as an Offsite Feline Care Assistant and help our adoptable cats stay healthy, happy, and ready to meet their forever families! This important volunteer role supports the daily care of cats housed at our partner pet store locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit assigned pet store location(s) to care for adoptable cats

• Clean and refresh litter boxes, food/water dishes, and enclosures

• Feed cats according to provided schedules and guidelines

• Observe and report on cats’ health or behavior to Furry Friends staff

• Engage gently with cats to provide socialization and comfort

• Help answer basic questions from store visitors and assist with the adoption process when needed

• Ensure the cat area is clean, welcoming, and in line with Furry Friends’ standards

Qualifications

• Comfortable handling cats and cleaning enclosures

• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to follow care protocols

• Friendly and able to interact respectfully with store staff and the public

• Able to commit to regular visits (daily or every-other-day preferred)

• Must be at least 16 years old 

Shift Details

• Flexible shifts (usually 1–2 hours per visit)

• Morning or early evening availability preferred

• Locations vary by need—training and store assignments provided
