Are you passionate about dogs and want to make a real difference in their lives? Join our Kennel Companion team! As a Kennel Companion, you'll help provide comfort, socialization, and enrichment to our dogs and puppies, ensuring they feel loved and cared for while in our shelter.
Requirements:
- Completion of Dog 101 training
- Willingness to engage with dogs through walks, play, and enrichment activities
Activities Include:
- Talking and engaging with dogs during walks and playtime
- Assisting in facilitating play group activities
- Providing enrichment activities to keep dogs mentally and physically stimulated
- Supporting daily kennel routines, including help with moving dogs to and from playgroups in the morning
Shifts Available:
- 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM
- 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Special Note for 7-10 AM Shift:
Assist with bringing dogs to and from playgroup to ensure they have safe and fun socialization time.
This position is perfect for caring volunteers who enjoy active engagement with dogs and want to help them thrive during their time at the shelter. Join us in making a difference—one walk and one play session at a time!
