Make an Impact at the South Bend Kroc Center

A Pantry Shopping Buddy helps our clients choose food from the pantry. You will need a basic knowledge of the USDA MyPlate literature and the ability to complete simple addition and subtraction on demand. Some clients will need assistance with carrying items to their car. Volunteers may also be asked to stock shelves, organize and sort food items, maintain the pantry's cleanliness, and complete some light office tasks such as filing. Physical qualifications include the ability to stand for prolonged periods (up to 3 hours) and lift up to 20 lbs. Other qualifications include good communication skills, a positive attitude, the desire to work with people, basic literacy and math skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. You must be age 18 or older for this position.

Hours of operation are:

Mondays 9am-12pm

Tuesdays 9am-12pm

Fridays 9am-12pm
