Follow these 4 steps to become a volunteer:
Once you have completed the steps above, you can sign up for one of our volunteer placement opportunities.
Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
For more information, please contact volunteer@townofws.ca
Recreation program volunteers play a vital role in assisting instructors to engage participants of all ages during weekly classes. Tasks may include helping to set up and lead crafts or activities, maintaining program spaces, or organizing equipment.
Camp volunteers assist staff in delivering fun, active and creative programs to children and youth in our community. Play while you build on your experiences, develop your leadership skills and make a difference in the life of a child or youth. Camps are offered over PA days, Winter Break, March Break and Summer.
Volunteers will support children with inclusion needs while participating in our recreation programs. These participants greatly benefit from the extra support provided by volunteers, who can help break down instructions, reinforce skills, act as buddies, and ensure a safe learning environment.
Volunteers must complete an in-person interview. You can view all interview days under this tab.
All interview dates and times are already listed for this year. Therefore, no new interview dates or times will be added for this year. Please sign up for an interview date and time that works best for you.
