2016 Special Events - Donut Day Fundraiser - Hickory Hills Jewel Store

Activity Summary:

Every year during the summer, The Salvation Army raises funds on Chicagoland's busy street corners. The two-day event is called "Donut Day," in remembrance of World War I, when The Salvation Army distributed hearty donuts and coffee to the exhausted soldiers in the trenches of the battlefields. Funds raised during "Donut Day" support The Salvation Army's many social service programs.

We're looking for positive, upbeat, and engaging people who will help us battle hunger in the Chicagoland area. You must be honest and able to work well with others. You must be able to stand for hours at a time.
