Activity Summary:

Be a part of helping kids involved in a Christian scouting program!

Kids' Club Teachers will help young people develop Christian values and healthy social skills through arts, crafts, health, safety, sports, athletics, the Bible, camping, nature, science and technology. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Teaching, or assisting with, classes
• Leading craft projects
• Assisting Corps officer in leadership of groups

Volunteers must be available on Tuesdays from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. May count towards a teaching practicum if required.

Qualifications:

• 18 years or older
• Dedicated, cheerful, and compassionate
• Comfortable working with youth ages 6 - 17
• Ability to collaborate with other volunteers
• Passion for teaching youth
• Supportive of The Salvation Army’s mission
• Must enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds
• Pass initial screening process, including a background check
• Bilingual abilities are a plus

Policies:

Alcohol, drugs, and smoking are not permitted at any Salvation Army facilities or volunteer sites.

Pants/shorts and a shirt with sleeves must cover the waist and fit comfortably. Transparent and tight-fitting clothes are not permitted. For your safety, closed toe shoes are required.

For your safety and the safety of others, you need to bring and wear a personal face covering over your nose and mouth while volunteering. You will also complete a brief health screening prior to volunteering.
