Programmatic - Crochet, Knit, and Embroidery Club Facilitator
Crochet lovers wanted! San Jose Public Library is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help lead our Crochet Club! If you love yarn, creativity, and building community, we’d be thrilled to have you guide projects, support beginners, and help keep the fun going.
Brief Description of the Role: Volunteer will lead the program by setting up materials, planning crochet activity, helping beginners with basic stitches, and supporting group projects. Basic skills are required but no advanced skills are necessary — just patience, kindness, and an interest in crocheting or crafting.
If you enjoy creative spaces and want to help others learn and connect, we’d love to have you join us. As a Crochet Club Program Volunteer, you’ll help create a welcoming, creative space where participants can learn, practice, and enjoy crocheting together. Your support ensures the club runs smoothly and that everyone—from beginners to experienced crafters—feels encouraged and included.

Volunteers Are Needed To

Assist with setting up and organizing crochet sessions

Commitment / Schedule

3 - month commitment required.

Schedule is flexible and dependent on the availability of the volunteer. Seeking volunteer to lead program either weekly or bi-weekly.

Consistent attendance is appreciated to support participant progress
Prospective Volunteers Should

Must be 18 years or older

Complete a fingerprint background check, at no cost to you

Have basic crochet knowledge (you don’t need to be an expert)
