Meals on Wheels Volunteers deliver nutritious meals to clients assessed as needing support with nutrition.
Personal accomplishment, develop and enhance communication skills, learn new job skills & obtain a work routine, being involved & giving back to community.
Volunteer picks up meals at given time from the outlet and delivers to client in their home.
Meals on Wheels are delivered Monday through Friday except for Stat holidays. Volunteers agree to scheduled route or casual assignment. Pick up time 11:30 am
Routes available in: Humboldt, Nokomis, Strasbourg, Watrous and Watson.

The goals of pet visitation programs are to provide opportunities for patients to reach and maintain their optimal level of physical and mental functioning; to maintain or re-establish interests, social contacts and dignity, to alleviate anxiety and redirect attention from their own condition and try to provide an outlet for emotion; and to provide structured, meaningful daily activity.
All dogs are to be certified and temperament tested by a Certified Pet Dog Trainer or by St. John’s Ambulance. They will be placed in areas according to their certification level.
Vaccinations are to be up to date prior to first animal visit o Handlers must complete all required SaskHA Registered Volunteer processes

his volunteer service will benefit the patients in the acute care department by promoting relationships and providing support to our health care workers and inpatients. Allows volunteers the exposure to healthcare career opportunities for consideration of their future employment.
The Volunteen needs to commit to one regular day a week for three hours. The program runs from the first week of October to the last week in May. Volunteers are not expected to report during any school holidays or final exam periods. This is not a self scheduled activity.

This Volunteer service provides a holistic approach to a Patients health care journey. Offering individual spiritual and emotional support for patients and their families. The position provides a connection between patients/families and the Spiritual Care Practitioner.
Committing to one regular day a week. Times of day and lengths of visits will vary dependent on individual circumstances of the patient.
This volunteer opportunity is open to young people aged 15 and older as of December 31 of the current year. Students accepted into the program will:
This program provides youth the opportunity to work in, and learn more about the many aspects of the Health Care; and to experience personal growth through the caring for patients and interaction with staff. The addition of volunteer contributions on a resume when applying for employment or post-secondary education is a valuable asset, as it demonstrates initiative and community involvement.
Volunteen Program runs from October to May, following school calendar and is a commitment of 3 hours per week minimum.
