Visitation / Patient Experience
A hospital admission can be a stressful time, leaving patients feeling socially isolated especially where family or friends are not available. Volunteers offer comforts such as water or a warm blanket. Volunteers can play cards, read a book, take the patient for a walk, visit, and may assist with conducting patient surveys. This is a wonderful volunteer role to learn more about the hospital and to practice bedside manner.
