Event Name: Backyard Beautification

Preferred Date: Friday, Actual date is based on the volunteer group's availability.
Preferred Time: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
Please arrive prior to your designated shift to have time for check-in and setup instructions.
Location: Hope Center, East Dallas
To ensure the privacy and safety of Dallas Hope Charities' residents and confidentiality is maintained, the location will be provided upon the group's confirmation.

Summary: Gardening is a well-known stress reliever and can provide mental and physical health benefits. For individuals in transitional living facilities, gardening can be a therapeutic activity that helps reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. 

Needs: 

  • Raised Garden Beds
  • Paint Picnic Tables
  • Fire Pit Landscaping for Fire Safety

Requirements:

  • Financial Contribution: $3,000
    Financial contribution aids in the purchase of supplies for this group project.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Comfortable working outdoors
  • Likes hand on projects

Dress Code: comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, closed-toed shoes
