Event Name: One-On-One Life Skills Instructor
Date/Time: 8 Weeks, 3hrs per week. Based on flexible schedule
Location: Dallas Hope Center, Dallas, TX 75228
Located West of White Rock Lake. For the safety and privacy of our residents, the address will be provided upon assignment approval.

Summary: Our Dallas Hope Center seeks for dedicated individuals to serve as One-On-One Life Skills Instructors. This vital role involves working closely with our residents individually to enhance their life skills, promoting personal growth and empowerment. The instructors will play a crucial part in delivering structured individualized sessions that focus on various life skills essential for the residents' personal and professional growth.

Requirements: Instructor will conduct 8-module engaging group life skills sessions over 8 weeks based on the manual provided by Dallas Hope Charities. The total course consists of 26 different activities. Topics vary from self-care, nutrition, financial literacy, job readiness, etc.

  • Commitment to the 8 weeks, 4 hours per week with a flexible schedule. 4 hours per week will include 2 hours per resident, for a total of 2 residents each week. 
  • Comfortable interacting and teaching young adults, ages 18-24, in small group settings 

  • Create a supportive and positive group environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by the residents of the Hope Center.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in group facilitation, teaching
  • Experience in group counseling, preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prepare and deliver engaging and informative sessions
  • Reliable and committed to the full duration of the time requested.
