The below information is based on 2025 Dinner Weekend needs. Please read carefully. Items in bold are of high importance.
🎯 GOALS (Dallas Hope Charities – Returning Beneficiary)
We are required to provide 25 total volunteer hours during Dinner Weekend:
-
15 hours on the evening of the Dinner (Saturday, November 8, 2025)
-
1 shift on the morning following the Dinner (Sunday, November 9, 2025)
A reference to 2025 Dinner Weekend information, job descriptions (in alphabetical order), and an overview of needs (by day) can be found on the Sign-Up Genius page linked above.
✅ DO…
-
Read all job descriptions thoroughly, including lifting, standing, walking, or technical requirements. This ensures everyone stays safe and can fully perform their tasks.
-
Register directly on the official Black Tie Dinner link. This is required so you receive all shift details and reminders.
-
When registering, please enter “Dallas Hope Charities” in response to the question:
“If you are affiliated with a Black Tie Dinner beneficiary, sponsor, or other volunteer group, please type the organization/group you are affiliated with below.” -
After registering, forward your confirmation email from Black Tie Dinner to Ciera, your DHC volunteer lead, at coates@dallashopecharities.org. This helps us track our goal and log your hours in the DHC Hope Dealer Volunteer Portal.
🚫 DO NOT…
-
Do not hold shifts. Only register for a shift you can 100% commit to. If you cancel, the shift is deleted and becomes available for others.
-
Do not register if you are also attending the Dinner as a guest. Volunteers are expected to fully focus on their assigned role.
ℹ️ Other FYIs
-
Volunteers must stay for their entire shift unless a BTD committee rep releases them early. If BTD releases or cancels your shift, you will still receive full credit.
-
You will only be credited for the scheduled shift hours, unless specifically asked by a BTD committee rep to arrive early or stay late.
-
Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with shift details, including parking and a calendar appointment. Don’t forget to forward this confirmation to coates@dallashopecharities.org to ensure your hours count.
-
If you need to cancel, email corela@blacktie.org and copy coates@dallashopecharities.org so your shift can be reassigned quickly.
-
Any unfilled shifts may later be opened to general DHC volunteers if additional hours are needed.
We are excited to once again partner with Black Tie Dinner and hope you’ll join us in helping make this year’s event a success. Your time and commitment not only create an incredible guest experience but also help ensure Dallas Hope Charities receives the maximum benefit from this partnership. 💙✨
