Hope Dealer Role: Clean Spaces Workshop Instructor
Date/Time: 8 Weeks, 1-3hrs per week. Based on flexible schedule
Location: Dallas Hope Center, Dallas, TX 75228
Located West of White Rock Lake. For the safety and privacy of our residents, the address will be provided upon assignment approval.
Summary: Clean Spaces Workshop is a life skills class designed to impart how to properly clean, organize, and maintain living quarters, including individual rooms and shared spaces. Instructors will guide residents in mastering the fundamentals of cleaning products, the proper way to clean various items, objects, and clothing, as well as using laundry machines and tools designed for cleaning. Residents of the Hope Center may enter the program with no life skills on how to upkeep and maintain shared living spaces. Teaching these residents the skills needed to upkeep a clean and organized environment will have prolonged positive outcomes for when they become independent.
Requirements:
- Skill Level Intermediate to Master, as you will be teaching and guiding residents in these various cleaning environments.
- Commitment Level Minimum of 8 weeks long, with between 1 - 3 hours a week. This will be taught in an individual or group-type setting over multiple days or in one day. This can be flexible upon experience and level of commitment.
- Comfortable interacting and teaching young adults, ages 18-24, in small group settings or individual settings
- Create a supportive and positive group environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by the residents of the Hope Center.
- Background Check All volunteers of the Hope Center must undergo a standard background check to ensure a safe and secure environment for all participants.
Qualifications:
- Cleaning Expertise: Instructor must demonstrate proficiency in organization and cleanliness. Whether it is a background in this or a profession in cleaning and organizing.
- Experience teaching in a group and/or one-on-one setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prepare and deliver engaging and informative sessions
- Reliable and committed to the full duration of the time requested.

- Signed Confidentiality Agreement
