Camp PARC is seeking a camp custodian to maintain a clean and sanitized facility for campers, counselors, and staff during the camping sessions. This is full time volunteer position during the camp session. We are seeking one person to volunteer for each of the sessions below:

• 1^st session - July 13 -17
• 2^nd session – July 20-27

Camp PARC is held at Laurel Hill State Park in Somerset, PA. Meals are included and housing is available during the camping session.

Duties include:

• Clean and sanitize sinks, urinals, toilets, shower stalls and floors multiple times per day
• Maintain stocked levels of toilet paper and soap in bathrooms
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors
• Maintain neat and orderly trash dumpsters
• Assist in removing trash and cardboard during meal times in the dining hall
• Wash and dry camper laundry such as sleeping bags, clothing, and towels
• May be asked to drive to local stores and purchase items to use at camp
• Assist in final cleaning of facilities for Park Ranger
• May assist in light repairs such as circuit breakers, light bulbs, windows, and plumbing
• Using a screwdriver and hammer to perform light repairs
• Assist in the lifting and moving of items such as boxes, crates, decorations, and costumes
• Other tasks as needed

Physical Demands:

• May lift up to 40 pounds
• May be exposed to extreme heat and sun
• May be exposed to chemicals including soaps and sanitizers
• May use equipment such as ladders, hammers, and power tools

Qualifications and abilities:

• Positive working attitude
• Able to work as part of a team AND individually
• Willingness to take initiative
• Attention to detail

No experience needed. Background Check required.
